NO INTEREST FROM ARSENAL

Cesc Fabregas has said that since his former club Arsenal was not willing to get him back at Emirates, he had no choice, but, to accept Chelsea’s offer.

As per a clause in Fabregas’ contract at Camp Nou, he could have been bought back by the Gunners this summer and there were expectations that Arsene Wenger & co. would do that, but, it wasn’t to be eventually.

Fabregas then joined Chelsea which paid 27 million Pounds to Barcelona to secure the services of the Spain international.
The Arsenal fans did not like Fabregas’ decision to move to Chelsea at all and that’s obvious as the Blues are one of the main rival clubs for the Gunners.

When Fabregas was asked about the unhappiness of the Arsenal fans by a television presenter the other day, he said, “Well, I did not have any choice. Arsenal was not interested in me. What should I have done then? Should I have hung my boots? No chance. I need to take care of my career. So, I made the call.” The call may well turn out to be the right one, with Chelsea currently one of the teams with the shortest Champions League odds, in stark comparison to Arsenal.

When asked if he talks to Arsene Wenger, the 27-year old said, “No, I don’t, but, it doesn’t mean I have any problem with him. A couple of years down the line, when things settle down, we might be talking.”

Fabregas has already started coming good for Chelsea. Although, he hasn’t struck for the club so far in the Premier League, he opened his account in Europe last week by finding the net against Schalke.

Fabregas celebrated that goal in the same way he used to do when he was an Arsenal player and that led to some people saying that he was making fun of the Gunners.
Fabregas had scored 57 goals for Arsenal in 303 matches.
