England international Ben White is a big doubt for Arsenal ahead of their Premier League trip to champions Manchester City. The England defender has missed the last two games for the Gunners in all competitions on the back of testing positive to the dreaded Covid-19.

White signed for Arsenal in a £50m deal this summer. He was signed from Brighton and Hove Albion. His first competitive game for the Gunners was in the Premier League opener at the home of Brentford. In the battle of two London teams, Brentford came out on tops at the end of regulation time. England international White was at the heart of the Arsenal defence as they lost 2-0 to hosts Brentford who are one of the three newly promoted teams in the Premier League this season alongside Watford and Norwich City. Sergi Canos and Christian Norgaard were on target for the Bees at the expense of the Gunners.

England national team defender White was missing due to Covid-19 as Arsenal lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea in their London Derby encounter during week two of this season's Premier League campaign. Romelu Lukaku made his second debut for Chelsea at Arsenal and the striker was responsible for the opening goal of the game before he was involved in the second goal scored by England international right-back Reece James. The two goals came in the first half as Chelsea sealed a 2-0 away win over the Gunners.
White also missed the emphatic win over West Brom in the Carabao Cup. The Baggies played hosts to Arsenal in the second round of the competition and they were beaten 6-0 thanks to the goals from Bukayo Saka, Nicholas Pepe and second half substitute Alexandre Lacazette in addition to the hattrick from Gabonese international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal face Manchester City in their next game in the Premier League and White is a doubt according to the latest injury news as revealed by the club's official website.
